When it about health, people should take of him/herself very well otherwise it may cause to visit him/her to a local health center. This is normal for peoples to suffer in many light and tough diseases seasonally as some of them are very sensitive. They prefer to visit the only Hospital of the town that located in Padmadhepa area.  Melaghar Sub-Divisional Hospital.

Although hospital is old and in good condition, local junior and senior doctors located at outdoor always, sometimes other doctors visit from nearby towns to check up patients.

But most of the time if any patient's condition goes down, the doctors and hospital authority refers him/her to Agartala located GBP or IGM hospital.

Melaghar currently is a Municipal Council Town in Sepahijala District in the Indian Northeastern State of   Tripura. Converted from a Gram Panchayat in 2014.   Situated on the bank of river Gumati. Co-ordinates are  23.49°N 91.33°E . Situated only 10 kms from Bangladesh border and 50 kms from capital Agartala . Melaghar is famous for its World famous Water Palace Neer Mahal .
